Woman Tweets ’2 Drunk 2 Care’ Before Causing A Deadly Crash (PHOTO))

A heavily drunk woman tweeted “2 Drunk 2 Care” just minutes before the deadly head-on collision on the expressway, according to a report by authorities released this week. According to the Florida Highway Patrol’s investigative report, Kayla Mendoza, 20 at the time, was driving a white Hyundai the wrong way on the highway last November when she slammed into a red car being driven by Kaitlyn Ferrante and her best friend Marisa Catronio. Both Ferrante and Catronio, who were 21 at the time, died. Before the crash, Mendoza went out to a bar after work with her colleagues. Though, she was underage, she ordered two large fish bowl-sized margaritas and paid for them with her credit card. Her boss, manager Marcelo Bruzzo, said that he took Mendoza to her car and that she appeared to be “okay.” Police say in the next few minutes, she tweeted “2 Drunk 2 Care.” Shortly after she tweeted that message, she was driving with a blood alcohol level twice the legal limit, according to police. Mendoza, who called herself the “pot princess” on Twitter, ended up traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes and missed several vehicles before slamming into Catronio’s car. Mendoza faces charges of DUI manslaughter and vehicular homicide for the accident. She pleaded not guilty during her formal arraignment in May.
